Ayahuasca is an Amazonian medicine that taps into an individual's psyche. It is a powerful psychedelic that should only be done under the watch of experienced shamans and healers. Ayahuasca is in no way a party drug. It is used for healing both mental and physical traumas. People turn to Ayahuasca when they are 100% open to facing themselves. My story...
About 2 years ago in 2013 a friend told me he was going to Peru to do Ayahuasca. Having never heard it before I felt the idea was "interesting." Lets face it. Lets assume your friends and family know nothing about Mama Ayahuasca. You told them you were going to travel a foriegn country by yourself to do one of the strongest psychedelics known to man with strangers. They may ask you to think twice about it.
It wasn't until last September that I was tickled with the idea of going to Peru. By January 2015 the feeling that I needed to go was so strong that I was ready to jump on a plane the next day. I asked my friend what the name of the retreat he went to was called. Without hesitation I contacted them, booked my stay with and bought my plane ticket no questions asked. I knew Mama Ayahuasca was calling me and I had to go. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I came back a changed person.
